The Uniontown Police were prompted to conduct a welfare check at the family’s residence after a concerned co-worker reported not hearing from the woman for two days, and the children had missed two consecutive days of school. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers immediately sensed something was amiss.

They observed that mail had not been collected, yet the family’s cars were still parked outside. With the assistance of a neighbor, the police made a grim discovery, finding the lifeless bodies of the two adults and three children in their respective bedrooms.

Dunham, whose firearm was determined to have been used in the incident, had a gunshot wound consistent with being self-inflicted. As of now, authorities have not disclosed who discharged the fatal shots.
